Dr. Ramesh Thondapu
Dr. Ramesh Thondapu was born in the Midwest and grew up in Merced, California. He spent one year at Duke University prior to transferring to the University of California, San Diego. At UCSD he played on the Men’s Tennis Team and was a member of the NCAA Division II Final Four team in 2007. He received his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology in 2009.
He went on to attend Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. While at Tufts, Dr Thondapu participated in microbiology research, presenting his findings at the national ADA and AADR conferences. He graduated Cum Laude from Tufts in 2014, was inducted into the O.K.U. honor society and received special recognition for Clinical Excellence in Endodontics. He went on to obtain his specialty certificate in endodontics from Tufts in 2016. During his residency, Dr. Thondapu also taught pre-doctoral students. At the Yankee Dental Congress he presented lectures on tooth resorption as well as several other topics.
After finishing his specialty training, he spent a year in private practice in rural Vermont before relocating to Northern California. He is a Board Eligible endodontist, having passed both written and oral examinations, and is currently working towards Board Certification. His outside interests include tennis, cooking, hiking, cycling, guitar, golf and skiing. He and his wife, Elizabeth, along with their pet bird, Toblerone, moved to Davis in 2017. They love their new town, especially the farmer’s market on Saturdays.
